About Us
Our Story
In 2018, Joyce Shulman and Eric Cohen brought together experts in technology, marketing, and community building with a shared mission: to help millions experience the physical and mental benefits of walking. The result was 99 Walks, a social fitness platform that has inspired more than 100,000 people to embrace walking as a path to better health and well-being.
But that was only the beginning.
"After hearing from thousands of members who wanted a way to take their walks to the next level, we saw an opportunity to create something truly different," Eric recalls. "Our goal was to make full-body walking workouts accessible, effective, and affordable for everyone."
Following more than two years of research, development, and testing, Jetti Poles launched in December 2021.
"We knew we had built something unique," says Joyce. "But it wasn't until people started using them that we realized we were helping redefine what walking could be."
In 2024, as Joyce and Eric prepared for their next chapter, entrepreneur David Maleh and his son Moe Maleh acquired Jetti with a vision to build upon that foundation and expand its reach.
Today, Jetti is focused on bringing innovative walking and fitness products to consumers nationwide through both retail and direct-to-consumer channels. The company's mission is to help people of all ages move better, build strength, and enjoy healthier, more active lives—with a special focus on serving the more than 100 million adults aged 50 and over who make walking part of their daily routine.
